YEEESSSS !!!! I did it! As of this week, I am officially a financial planner πŸ˜€ This is the human proof that you can switch job, do a MBA, have 2 young children and pass an important exam for your job ;-D Everything is possible, it’s only a matter of the price you are willing to pay! So while I am celebrating, I am leave you with some good read around the web:

The Personal Financier has some altruism thought and look at lifestyle of countries with high taxes. I was surprise that Canada was not mention on her chart! I personally pay 30% average tax rate (marginal at 40%) plus 15% on any purchase of goods (including everything besides food basically) plus Qc and Gov pension deduction. I’m still unsure about which system is the best. We will probably see problems arising within high tax countries as baby boomers are slowly retiring…

Q Cash wrote a guest post on Million Dollar Journey. This is quite an inspiring post about somebody who retired millionaire at the age of 37…I will keep two lessons from this post: work for yourself (have a company) and buy real estate. This is exactly where my plan is bringing me!

Mr. Cheap is introducing a new concept: The Dream Killers! I guess I am one of them. I actually have my t-shirt “I love to kill dreams” and my member card πŸ˜‰ Beware of the beast behind the little girl!

Canadian Capitalist also wrote a series on finding a financial advisor. He called different advisor in order to find a fee-only planner. If you like my series on how to find a good financial advisor, you will surely like to read his stories. Funny enough, we never discuss this topic together… but I started first πŸ˜‰ hahaha!

Follow DINKS Real Estate Adventure. I love true story! Especially when they are talking about finance πŸ˜‰

Congrats! That’s quite an achievement. One question though – do you still have your sanity?? πŸ™‚

Congrats! You are another example that one can achieve their goals through hard work and dedication. Something most people wont do because they wont stay the course.

Good job and congrats. Nothing stands in the way of will and hard work. Thank you for menioning my post. By the way, Canada is ranked at 25th when it comes to taxes as a percent of GDP. It always seems so much more on the paycheck… :>
