Financial Ramblings

Before I start with all the good read I found this week, I want to draw a particular attention over this post at Million Dollar Journey. There is a very interesting discussion about the choice between daycare and staying at home [1]. Since my wife and I are trying to find a way so she can stay home, I really enjoyed reading the post and all the comments.

The Dough Roller is using obvious and simple tricks to save money [2]. Believe it or not, some people are not even doing such things. I really like the Mick Jagger’s quote at the end of the post:

No, you can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
And if you try sometime you find
You get what you need

The Dividend Guy just has the perfect advice of the moment: Invest when it feels like the end of the world [3]. Believe me, you make money when there is blood on Wall Street.

Thicken My Wallet put a smile on my face with his job interview horror stories [4]. That reminded me of a good one I have to post about!

If you have a brokerage account and you live in Canada, you will love to hear that RBC is offering money for you to transfer to their brokerage system. Find out more at Four Pillars [5].

The Baglady wrote an interesting article about money and marriage [6]. Always a good topic of discussion 😀
