Heck it almost sounds like the whole Primerica argument. Most people are actually caught up by dirty salesman or their own ignorance. And we'd all love for banks to be "responsible" but the history of their existence is based on the exact opposite. I'd love to say "go to credit unions", but looking at the numbers for Servus (Alberta's big CU) doesn't really give me any more confidence.
