This is an excellent piece all about convincing other bloggers to give you links and to help you out. This is a must read for any blogger that’s stuck in a rut or needs any help at all.
The author highlights a key mistake that we all make:
“When you send an email that says “If there’s anything you need help with, let me know,” you mean well, but you’re putting the onus on the person you’re emailing to “figure out” how you might be able to help them.
So, what you’re doing, in turn, is offering to help… and creating work for the person you’re trying to help.”

That sounds like a good idea. I mean, yeah, encouraging your readers to help you instead of you helping them is letting them know that they have the power.
