I think it can be helpful to have multiple income streams going, so that you can see what does work and what doesn't. Just like a good stock diversification, so should our passive income. Starting a company or writing an e-book is a tremendous venture, but we should also be prepared to wait for that first sale. I have to admit, I hate waiting :) Patience and waiting for something to happen can be grueling, especially when you have put in a lot of sweat equity.
