The Rat,

This is what I have been told when I started blogging as well. In fact, it's like most industry, the majority of bloggers don't make much with their sites. However, there are a few of them that are able to generate a nice income.

I would not be able to live from my blogs right now, but I know a few bloggers that can. sky is the limit... regardless your project ;-D

When you mention, 'earning powerhouses', I was kinda under the impression that most bloggers, especially in the PF world, make only 150 bones a month at this stuff if they're lucky and only after once things are built up and running well with a solid readership. Based on what you're saying, it seems like this is not the case, and the potential's more than that. Is that accurate?

In the very beginning of any project, it's always like this with anyone, especially those close to you. I have a number of web projects that are quite small in terms of earning power and traffic generation, but it takes time to build such web projects into fully producing/earning "powerhouses."

Kenyantykoon,
don't worry, when I started mine, most people (including several bloggers) told me that I would be lucky to make $100 per month one day.... oh well. all I can say is that there are always people to tell you that it won't work and only a few of them will be there to celebrate and congratulate you ;-)

i started my finance blog a few months ago and no one seems to excited about it. the only thing that they notice is that i spend an inordinate amount of time working on it. i haven't yet got anything from it but i soon will
