@Steve
I'm not sure I would ONLY be happy to win lottery... I'm sure I would react like this:

1. U must be kiddind
2. Ok, so this is real? I can enjoy?
3. WHAAAA THIS IS SO AAAAAAAAWESOME!!!!
4. OMG my face on front of stupid people magasines :S
5. OF... everyone will know that I'm rich now: massive sollicitations attacks and loosing friends massively
6. I want an alarm system installed RIGHT NOW coz I'm terrorized and convice that all thieves are on the road to my home...

Okay, that's a bit over reacting... I must admit ;-) Yeah this must be an awesome moment, but passing from debts loaded situation to swimmin in money is certainly stressful somewere in the process... I mean in my opinion! :)

@TFB
Well, the fact that they are your current colleagues instead of your interviewers let you the possibility to proove your value at work! I used to inteview people with a colleague who was thinking job is not supposed to be a fun part in your life... it was hard, I felt like if we were playing the good and the bad cop with people we interviewed that day. Funny now, but on that moment I felt so bad!

@Steve
do you wake up everymorning thinking of winnin the jackpot?? I hope no. It is possible to apply on other jobs while keeping your actual job, it's better than loosing your job or leaving it (financially), but emotionnally it s harder to manage. Wish you the best, and more to find something that motivates you!!!

Love your blog! For me it's flexibility. I can work where I can and when I want. I love my job. I am a traductor from English to French only. My salary is based on the number of words I translate ;) I'm quite fast and good in my field.

I wake up every morning and go to the same job, at the same place, dealing with the saamme issues. I know that I don't like my job. I just wanna make a lot of money. Actually, I would like to win the jackpot, not having to work and have a lot of money to spend hehe

I'm more a project driven type of girl. I like to see the results in my job. I like a job where I can work independently and on a team. I am a leader, but I also like to contribute in a team. I need a job where I can relate to the company's values. I also need to believe in the product or the service. Of course, salary is also important for me; mostly that is consistent with the rest of the market.

Good post. There are plenty questions to ask in an interview. As an HR person, maybe a little advice, do not ask:

-What does this company do? (Please take the time to search on the net!)
-If I get the job when can I take time off for vacation? (Wait at least one year before you can prove that you deserve it!!)
- Did I get the job? (Please don't be impatient. We'll let you know!! Instead ask: What is the next stage in the process and will I receive feedback on this interview?)
-Would anyone notice if I came in late and left early? (that's a good one not to ask!! hehehe)
- What are your psychiatric benefits? (are you crazy!!)

You can prepare 2-3 questions in advance. If by the end of the interview, the HR person ask you whether you have any questions, at least you can choose one question to ask. Good luck to all!

I really like the quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." There is no dream job, but you need to identify the job that will make you happiest!! I think what is essential when you are searching for a job, is to focus on the important things and never give up looking for that dream job ;)
