@Val,
glad to see you around!

It is always difficult to gather additional money without cutting on your lifestyle!

I always prefer to earn more than to spend less ;-)

Actually I have the same issue as you do, but on a much smaller scale. I have to pay my ex the remaining $15,000 out of the agreement pertaining to our divorce (which came out to be $50,000 as a whole)
While I did have the $7,000 that was due this week (out of my emergency fund), I will need to shell out $8,000 sometime within the next two to three months. I probably will have $4,000 or $5,000 in that time. My challenge is therefore not as big as yours, but it is a challenge nevertheless. I cannot wait to be free of his grip ;-)
All the best to you!

wouh! I didn't knew last part! ;-)

anyways, sometimes I wonder if feeling guilty when there is no need to in the right-now-moment is a «woman thing» ;-) seems like my girl friends and I all do this, while our boy friends say «let's wait until it is necessary to feel guilty... and maybe it will turn out that it won't be necessary!» and, I have to admit, most of the time, they are right!

(did I said my husband was RIGHT??? ah hum... yeah :D )

Mama zen,

I will not feel guilty until Nov since we all agreed that the loan would be paid off on that date. However, I am more concerned about the fact of not paying them back at that time while I have been on vacation for the pas 2 years ;-)

See, there is still an inconvenient (that you mentionned in your previous post) that doesn't change that you pay your parents in one shot on a scheduled date, or on a be-weekly basis as I do.

Whatever option you choose, you will feel guilty planning costly project or buying things rather than using the extra money to pay this debt quickly.

Even if my parents and I have settled an agreement that would fit in my tight budget, I feel bad to put money in my savings or for my upcoming family vacation.

Honestly, I hope your online company will provide you enough revenues that you won't have to pick up too much out of your savings. Good luck!
