Financial Ramblings

I’m slowly getting back on track (thanks to those pumps for my cough!). I started working out again after a 2 weeks pause. I guess that my new job, my bad cough and my both children being sick at the same time was a very bad combination! Nonetheless, I feel fully powered by my recent good nights of sleep. It just feels good to feel alive again!

I’m still in training for another two weeks and then, I will be launched in the jungle, like Mowgli! It should not be that bad as I have enough financial knowledge to really help my clients. The problem is more with the computer system and all the forms and procedures I have to learn. This will be a case by case learning process until I master everything. The good news is that we only work with appointment. Therefore, I will be able to prepare my file and all the required documents before I meet with my clients. In fact, I just can’t wait to get my laptop and my clients!

February has been rough on the budget so far. We celebrated when I got the job at the beginning of the month and we did 2 Valentine’s Day. We had the frugal picnic but we also had the fancy restaurant. I busted my dinning out budget so bad I don’t even want to look at my checking account. I will have to slow down in March in order to make it better at the end of the year 😉

Last Monday, I hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance #140 – Prison Break Edition. It was quite an interesting experience and I am definitely looking forward hosting more carnivals. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed doing it!
