Epic Shiz For Mid-November

The epic shiz for today is The Truth About Abs & How to Make One Million Profit Per Month With Digital Products @ The 4-Hour Workweek blog.

What’s so epic about this piece?

Well I have a biased towards this piece for two reasons: I love the work of Tim Ferriss and I want to create digital products (remember that product launch story?). This story is very inspirational (aren’t all success stories) and it’s worth reading in pieces. I’m going to read the other half of this colossal article in about a week or so.

What did I learn?

To be honest, you can only learn so much from the blog post. If you really want to match the success of the author you need to check out his site and see what he’s doing. You need to see what those dominant in the industry are doing. This beats any theory that you can find out there.

What’s the highlight of this epic shiz?

The most epic part IMO is this:

“In the very beginning, I had this foolish idea in my head that this flood of people would automatically rush to my website, buy my product, and I’d be a millionaire within months. Reality struck when I had a whopping 5 visitors to my site in the first month. “

I loved this because ALL of us have gone through this stage. We pump out awesome content and nobody cares. What gives? You need to drive traffic to your website.

The reality of this epic piece is…

The author had to work his ass off! We’re all delusional about passive income and want to skip the whole “work hard” phase. This line summarizes his Geary’s ambition:

“When I set these goals back in 2004, I was basically working three jobs. I worked an engineering consulting job from 9-5 at an office. I also worked 15-20 extra hours per week as a personal trainer at a local gym, and I was attempting to build my online fitness business.”

There you have it. Another “how-to” guide for all of us that want to be full-time internet entrepreneurs. What are you going to do with this information? I’m still in the game my friend and I plan on making an impact. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow. Soon.
