What caught my eye this week?

Should I Create An eBook? @ Untemplater.

This is a topic that’s close to my heart for obvious reasons. I’ve released a few products over the years. One of my products cost me a great deal of money and time, resulting in a huge loss. I wrote about it at the time and was really frustrated with how poorly it all worked.

However, I still do recommend writing an eBook. I think that everyone reading this can benefit from releasing a premium product.

What if you don’t have any time? I still believe that you can create a product. It’s really not that bad trust me. You can pool together old posts, writing an extra 3o minutes per day, or take a week off to do nothing but pump out content. Either way, I suggest that everyone reading this works on their guide.

Speaking of writing and releasing eBooks. If you want to increase the amount of paid writing you do, I urge you to check out a post I’m extremely proud of: How-to Snag Freelance Writing Work Today.

I really think writing an eBook is a nobrainer for anybody with an online presence. It helps build the brand tremendously, and traffic. I noticed a 50% increase in traffic within 2 months after I wrote my book. Could be coincidence and algo changes from search, but more likely it’s due to the spreading of the book.

MD, where’s your post about your eBook costing time and money? I’d like to read it. Thanks.

Sam

Wow thanks so much for the mention! Turns out I just found out I’m probably not getting a promotion I’ve been gunning for so now I’m even MORE motivated to create an eBook!! I’m going to tackle my first chapter this weekend and go for it.

Things don’t always turn out the way we want, and we may not get everything we want in our careers and lives, but if we don’t try our hardest and kick ourselves in the rear to take risks and push ourselves forward, the only person we can blame is ourself!

Have a great weekend MD!

Hey Sam, it was that one article about a year ago where I ranted and raved about blogging/creating a product lol…

@Untemplater Sorry to hear about what happened. You never know, it could be a blessing is disguise (as cliche as that sounds lol).

@MD Thanks. I’ll be ok and it’s true what you said. I like to keep an open mind and focus on the positives and I know things will work out one way or another.
